Only 8 years of battling against my feminine fear of speed I suddenly get up one day in Morzine put on my new baggy denim pants and fly down the mountain with the wind in my hair (or would have been had a had hair and wasn’t wearing a helmet).
I really don’t know if it’s something to do with my new fitness levels or indeed the denim but something’s changed. Not only speed but my willingness to stay out longer than a couple of hours before hitting the Vin Chaud, in fact I was also in the snow park hurling myself over jumps. Ok, I didn’t land them all (probably one out of every two attempts) but hey I am not complaining this is progress.
The only problem I did have was new pants getting the distressed look only on one side of my arse because I kept landing on my left butt cheek.
